POST 8:
I am in my second year of dance,all this time has been a constant challenge for me, some times hard but definitly all the time amazing ! before to start study Dance I have taken class of ballet, contemporary and jazz among others, but never modern dance, the last year and also this definitly my favorite subject has been Modern dance, I love it !!!
The teacher, music, exercices, phrases all make me feel good, I really enjoy it. I have modern dance four times a week, two of these are at 8.30 but I don't care about this, I wake up motivated to take the class.
We have seen not only phisycal work also theoric study, this make a ralation between both and help to understand all we do whit the body, we work like an overview for explain whit: central and periferic mouvements, the torso contraction and relaxation, whit flow and staccat and also the inclinations, all this in own univerisity based in the Laban movement analysis systems.
In the class at firt we work a warming, working whit the musical pulse in the body, we work the feet and arms, after we start to do the exercices whit te contents and at the end we do all of the phrases the most hard mouvements, the jumps and the faster phrases, all of this is always whit live music, so this make the class much more interesting.
The teacher is great ! I admire her before to start the semester, she always explain the contents, make the class very flowing, has a very knowledge about modern dance and also she es very kind, the same with the accompanying musician, all of these make an atmosphere.
In the futre I want to be a teacher of dance, each day I am most convinced to teach Modern dance.
Today is the final test of modern dance, I really hope have a great results!! :)
I really love that class too, Is difficult for me but anyway I enjoy it so much.
